Water-Energy-Food Security
IISD’s work in water-energy-food (WEF) security informs and facilitates decisions related to water, energy and food—three critical aspects of human security.
Our WEF work engages experts from across sectors related to water, energy and food security to identify strong linkages and help prioritize government decision-making for improving two or all three of these key components of sustainable development. IISD provides guidance on implementing WEF approaches in the context of agriculture and mining development, using stakeholder consultations, WEF indicators, watershed modelling and policy research.
