IISD and the Bangkok-based International Institute for Trade and Development (ITD) are organising a two-day training for governments officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The meeting will explore what is needed to make foreign investment in agriculture work for sustainable development. Participants will learn from countries that have been successful in attracting foreign investment, how to pick the right investors and the policy and legal frameworks needed to ensure that investment promotes development.
