Dorothy Wanja Nyingi

Dorothy Wanja Nyingi lives in Nairobi and works as an ichthyologist with the National Museums of Kenya. She acquired a Ph.D. in the University of Montpellier II in France studying morphological and genetic diversity of Nile tilapia of Africa. She’s involved in various biodiversity projects and has special interest in interactions of local communities with biodiversity, especially in the application of indigenous knowledge in species conservation.
