Louie Porta

Louie Porta has lived, worked, and travelled extensively across the North American Arctic.

He is presently the Vice President of Operations and Projects for Oceans North. Louie has been nominated to represent Canada in national environmental, educational, social, and economic policy development processes. He is an Arctic science and climate policy expert with expertise in oil and gas development, northern transportation, commercial fishing, and indigenous governance systems. Louie has a proven track record of designing, leading, and executing public advocacy campaigns that deliver world-class conservation results.

He lives in Halifax with his wife and three children.
