Juan Zhang

Associate, China Representative

Juan Zhang holds an MSc in Environmental Chemistry from Nanjing University. Most recently, she participated in the GEF-funded Large-City Congestion and Carbon Reduction Project with the Chinese Ministry of Transport, under the supervision of the World Bank. Supervising the project’s progress, she oversaw the procurement of goods and consulting services, prepared project implementation reports, and organized capacity-building workshops and seminars. She has also designed and established eco-toxicity testing protocols for new chemicals and pesticides with the Jiangsu Guochuang Enviro-protection Technology company.

Juan has published widely in the area of water biology science, with a particular focus on the interactions between fresh water and a variety of chemicals introduced into the environment.
